HARMONY Alliance participates in the 5th SIOP-CCI Europe Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is held in partnership with Childhood Cancer International (CCI) Europe, ensuring the representation and participation of childhood cancer parents and survivors.

In recent decades, diagnosis and treatment of Hematologic Malignancies have substantially improved, but many remain incurable. The key outstanding questions in blood cancer research can only be answered by studying large numbers of patients. Therefore, the HARMONY Alliance has developed a unique research infrastructure to facilitate Big Data research in the field of Hematologic Malignancies (HM).

Young Pediatric HM patients, children with blood cancer, still have their lives ahead of them.

HARMONY Alliance data-driven research projects will have a valuable impact on children, teenagers and young adults with cancer.

Public-private partnership for Big Data in Hematology

HARMONY and HARMONY PLUS are funded through the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI), Europe's largest public-private initiative aiming to speed up the development of better and safer medicines for patients. Funding is received from the IMI 2 Joint Undertaking and is listed under grant agreement for HARMONY No. 116026 and grant agreement for HARMONY PLUS No. 945406. This Joint Undertaking receives support from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
