Every single set of data might turn out to be the missing piece that will make it possible to treat the patients with blood cancer faster and better. Access to broader data sets allows comparing data from different sources and within different variables: demographics, genetics, treatments, laboratory tests, imaging results, outcomes, etc.
The raw data uploaded to the HARMONY Big Data Platform must be prepared so the data scientists can make the best use of the information they get. Thousands of data sets must be precisely analyzed. To make this process precise and quick enough, researchers get the help of algorithms that can interpret and investigate a huge amount of data in a short period. Moreover, algorithms learn and improve the process of analytics independently, so they ultimately detect new patterns in data.
