Do-IT, an IMI/BD4BO project, is organizing a public webinar on outcomes standardisation on 15 May 2018, from 14:00 - 15:00 hrs. Tamás Bereczky from HARMONY Partner Leukanet will be one of the presenters.

Big data is revolutionising health care research and has the potential to improve outcomes for patients. The IMI Big Data for Better Outcomes (BD4BO) programme is aiming to enable the use of big data to improve health outcomes in Europe. This includes the standardisation or harmonisation of outcome data that is collected to reduce the high levels of variation within and between different types of data sources (i.e. trials, electronic health records, registries, etc) and across Europe. Developing and applying minimum or core outcome sets (COS) can ensure outcomes are appropriate to all stakeholders, as well as enable combining of datasets and comparative research.

This webinar, hosted by NICE, will

• Introduce COS and their role in harmonising outcomes generated in real world settings;
• Present a toolkit giving methodological and practical guidance on developing COS, including for use in real world settings;
• Provide experiences from the different BD4BO projects including, for example, on involving patient perspectives in the standardization of outcomes
