HARMONY presenting at the virtual annual meeting of the Health Cluster Portugal, taking place at 25 November 2020.

The challenges that the health sector is currently facing implies a reflection, with a special focus on the development of strategies to promote the competitiveness of the sector in Portugal. At its annual conference, Health Cluster Portugal will highlighting its 2030 Strategic Vision and will to bring up some of the topics it considers critical for the development of the health sector in Portugal.

HARMONY Co-Chair Guillermo Sanz (Head of Clinical Hematology Section, Fundación para la Investigación del Hospital Universitario La Fe de la Comunidad Valenciana) and HARMONY Lead Frederico Calado (Head of RWE Innovation and Partnerships, Novartis Oncology) will present HARMONY as a datalake case study.

As an international public-private partnership HARMONY aims to create a sustainable organization that feeds the need for data of different stakeholders: for more quality of care, new services and products for the health sector, as well as more data intelligence for research and development of new drugs, therapies and policies. Pitfalls, bottlenecks and major obstacles like privacy, GDPR compliance, business model ethic and high capital resources should be highlighted. Currently HARMONY consists of more than 90 Partners and Associated Members.
